How is this an example of alternative material selection?

Graza is an olive oil company. Traditionally olive oil brands (such as Filippo Berio) package their oil in glass bottles. Graza has opted for an alternative material selection, opting to use a recyclable plastic with recycled content. This reduces the impact of the packaging by lowering emission produced in the processing of the plastic when compared to glass. Additionally, the reduced weight reduced carbon dioxide emmissions in transportation and shipping.
