B-corp


B-Corp (short for Certified B Corporation) is the term used for any for-profit entity that is certified by the nonprofit B Lab as voluntarily meeting higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance.

1% for the planet


This project, cofounded by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard, encourages businesses to give the equivalent of 1% of their gross sales to environmental projects.

 

Fairtrade


Fairtrade is the most recognized and trusted sustainability label in the world. They are a global organization that is co-owned by more than 1.8 million farmers.

 

The Better Cotton Initiative


The Better Cotton Initiative was created in 2009, pooling industry efforts to clean up the supply chain. The group tries to help farmers transition to greener methods, while making sure cotton remains affordably priced.

 

The Forest Stewardship Council


The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) logo on a wood or paper product is your assurance that it is made with, or contains, forest-based materials from FSC-certified forests or reclaimed sources. There are three types of FSC label: 100%, FSC Mix or FSC Recycled.

 

Textile Exchange Standards


With a range of standards including Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) setting the criteria for third-party certification, this is a go-to for textile producers.

 

PETA-Approved Vegan


Companies listed under the PETA statement are a sign of assurance or provide a statement verifying that they do not conduct or commission any animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products and that they pledge not to do so in the future.
